T-Head (PingTouGe) is Alibaba's semiconductor unit, producing the Hanguang inference NPU, the PPU AI accelerator, and the XuanTie RISC-V CPU cores. It is a key vehicle for Alibaba Cloud to reduce Nvidia reliance and for China's broader RISC-V independence push.
