NVIDIA to Acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 Billion

NVIDIA said on September 3, 2026 that it has agreed to acquire Hugging Face for $12,930,300,000. The vendor that supplies the industry's training and inference hardware is buying the hub where 3 million open models are distributed. NVIDIA's post says the platform stays open, and says nothing about regulatory approval or a closing date.
NVIDIA Puts $5 Billion Into Ilya Sutskever's Safe Superintelligence

NVIDIA is investing $5 billion in Safe Superintelligence and giving it access to the Vera Rubin platform, enough to raise SSI's compute by an order of magnitude. NVIDIA says it committed after being granted rare access to research SSI has kept closed for two years.
