JUPITER Exascale Supercomputer
Europe's first exascale system; Nvidia GH200 based
JUPITER, hosted at Forschungszentrum Jülich under EuroHPC, is Europe's first exascale supercomputer, built by Eviden/ParTec on ~24,000 Nvidia GH200 Grace-Hopper superchips. Operational in 2025, it is the flagship of EU sovereign AI compute and a training resource for European labs and open models, though it underscores Europe's dependence on Nvidia silicon despite sovereign ambitions.
