JASM (Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing) is TSMC's Kumamoto fab JV with Sony and Denso, with a second fab underway. It diversifies mature/specialty node supply off Taiwan and anchors Japan's METI-subsidized semiconductor revival, feeding automotive and edge-AI silicon.
