Subsidized GPU clusters for European AI startups
AI Factories are EuroHPC-hosted GPU clusters (13+ sites selected across Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and others by 2025) giving European SMEs and researchers subsidized training and inference compute. The 2025 InvestAI plan added AI Gigafactories, huge multi-billion-euro clusters (100k+ GPUs each) to close the compute gap with US hyperscalers. They are the demand aggregator for European sovereign compute.
