Cambricon is a Shanghai-listed AI-chip designer whose Siyuan (MLU) accelerators are among the most credible domestic alternatives to Nvidia for Chinese datacenters. On the US Entity List, its share price surged in 2025 as Beijing steered buyers toward domestic silicon; it remains dependent on SMIC and constrained HBM/CoWoS-class packaging.
