MGX
Abu Dhabi's dedicated AI/infrastructure sovereign investment vehicle
MGX is an Abu Dhabi AI-focused investment firm (backed by Mubadala and G42) launched in 2024 to deploy sovereign capital into AI infrastructure, models, and semiconductors. It is a founding funder of Stargate, participated in OpenAI's mega-rounds, and co-leads the AI Infrastructure Partnership with BlackRock, Microsoft, and Nvidia. MGX is the primary conduit for UAE sovereign wealth into the US AI compute stack, and its involvement is entangled with US export-control scrutiny of Gulf datacenters.
