#US to limit #Chinese visas: AP
As an advance team arrived Wednesday in Beijing for more high-level trade talks, the Trump administration reportedly readied new restrictions on #Chinese visas to protect #American intellectual property, The Daily Beast says. Citing The Associated Press, the site said that limits on validity periods, to be decided case-by-case, could take effect as soon as June 11. The moves follow an announcement by the White House Tuesday that it's pressing ahead with 25% tariffs on $50 billion of Chinese imports, despite earlier statements by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin that levies were suspended for the duration of settlement talks.
