Mergers reach an all-time high
Global and U.S. mergers and acquisitions were at an all-time high in the first half of 2018, reports Axios citing Reuters data. Together, the M&As were valued at $2.5 trillion. Four of the 10 biggest deals were agreed to avert competition from the largest technology companies, The New York Times says.
