Similar to Notion, Microsoft launched " Loop"
Microsoft Loop, a competitor to Notion, has been launched in public preview. The platform aims to improve collaboration and productivity by syncing tasks and projects across Microsoft 365 apps and services. Loop is accessible to users with a Microsoft Account or Azure Active Directory account, and companion apps for iOS and Android are expected soon.
Loop offers three main elements: Loop components, Loop pages, and Loop workspaces. Loop components are JavaScript widgets that facilitate real-time collaboration and stay in sync across Microsoft 365 apps. Future plans include adding components that support business workflows and allowing developers to create custom components.
Loop pages are flexible canvases for organizing components and other elements, while Loop workspaces provide shared platforms for users to see and group project-related content. Loop can also search for relevant documents and coworkers when creating a workspace, and up to 50 people can edit a workspace simultaneously.
Microsoft is integrating its new AI-powered Microsoft 365 Copilot system into Loop, which will provide suggestions for brainstorms or blueprints and enable users to edit and share them across apps like Outlook and Teams.
