Is this the right Agency, you want to work?
- Current employees should consider working for a company with ethical values. If they treat others poorly, they will likely do the same if they find cheaper options.
- Relying on interview candidates for strategy is risky. Good luck with algorithm updates, competitors, ongoing bugs, and future enhancements.
- If they can't hire a Senior SEO strategist, I bet they don’t have any real strategy.
- Leave the honest review in Glassdoor, google my business etc.

SEOs:
- I agree, it takes a lot of time to complete these audits.
- It may be worth it not to work for such an agency.
- Experience can help you land a better role and company with ethical values.
Don’t take on too many assignments during the interview process - limit it to 2-4 hours of work. Anything more is a red flag.
- Share your report via Google Docs and remove permissions after the interview decision.
- Hide client names and provide tips on how to audit specific areas, using the work you’ve already done.
- At the end of the day, SEO professionals are hired based on their skills and how well they market themselves. Ensure you have a strong LinkedIn presence, a personal website, a YouTube channel, and a robust network.
