My first thought wasn't the bill. It was: where do we sleep tonight?
Before waking the baby to go anywhere, I got stubborn could I understand this myself?
So I built an interactive 3D HVAC simulator over the weekend: click any part to see how it fails, describe a symptom and get ranked causes tagged DIY or call-a-pro, or watch real failure scenarios play out.
My scenario: drain pan filled, float switch tripped, system looked dead. Was a clogged drain. Fix was free. We stayed home.
Not an HVAC pro. Just the tool I wished I had at 10pm, when the real problem wasn't the machine it was four people who needed somewhere to sleep.
Built mostly with AI in a weekend. v1, grain of salt.
