Broadcom
AI networking silicon + custom XPU/ASIC partner
Broadcom is the dominant merchant supplier of AI data-center switch silicon (Tomahawk 5/6 for scale-out, Jericho 3-AI for scale-across) and the leading custom-ASIC (XPU) design partner for hyperscalers — Google TPU, Meta MTIA, and others. In 2025 it reported multi-billion-dollar AI revenue growth and disclosed a ~$10B custom-AI-chip order from a fourth large customer (widely reported as OpenAI). Its combined networking-plus-custom-silicon position makes it arguably the second-most-important AI semiconductor company after NVIDIA.
