Designing AI Products (Human-AI Interaction)

Human-AI interaction design shapes how people understand, trust, correct and recover from an AI system. A capable model behind a confusing interface still fails its users. Microsoft's 18 Guidelines for Human-AI Interaction (CHI 2019) cover four moments: initial interaction, during interaction, when the AI is wrong, and over time. Example: an AI suggestion that shows why it was made and offers a one-click undo.
