Frontier Safety Frameworks
Frontier safety frameworks are commitments by leading labs about which dangerous capabilities they test for and what safeguards must exist before training or releasing a stronger model. Anthropic's Responsible Scaling Policy and OpenAI's Preparedness Framework are examples. They are voluntary in most places, which makes independent evaluation and their published results worth reading closely.
