Latent Space
A latent space is the compressed internal representation a model learns, where similar things sit close together. It is why you can do arithmetic with word meanings, or blend two images smoothly. Embeddings, autoencoders and diffusion models all work in one. The dimensions are rarely human-readable, which is part of what makes models hard to interpret.
