Quantum Machine Learning
Running learning algorithms on quantum hardware: variational circuits as models, qubits as the substrate. The honest status in 2026 is that no practical ML advantage exists yet, today's NISQ devices are small and noisy, and classical hardware keeps winning. Worth understanding because the mathematics is elegant and the hardware curve is real; not worth switching careers for.
