Text-to-SQL and Natural Language Querying

Text-to-SQL turns a plain-language question into a database query and runs it. It matters because most business data sits in SQL tables that few people can query by hand. The hard parts are picking the right tables and columns, joins, and ambiguous wording; on the BIRD benchmark, systems still trail the 92.96 percent human baseline. Example: "top five stores by refunds last quarter" becomes a GROUP BY over orders joined to refunds.
